Arun Arora speaking at Living Well Conference on the 4th November
Arun Arora, author of Stick With Love, will be speaking at Living Well: AMEN & USPG Conference on Sat, 4 Nov 2023 at 10:00 - 16:00 GMT.
The Living Well day conference is jointly hosted by AMEN (Anglican Minority Ethnic Network) and USPG. Together, and will be asking what 'Living Well' looks like for Christians. How to live well within oneself (focusing on wellbeing and addressing internalised racism), how to live well within the Church, and how to live well within our communities and wider society. As we navigate these questions, we will see how drawing from Jesus, the living well, is the key.
This conference will draw upon the Church of England's Living Ministry's report from the study exploring the wellbeing experiences of Global Majority Heritage (GMH) clergy led by Selina Stone.
The speakers for the event are:
Rev'd Dr Evie Vernon, a Jamaican Educator who has worked in the Caribbean and the UK, presently an Honorary Assistant Curate, St Mildred’s Croydon, Trustee of Inclusive Church, and Former Theological Advisor to USPG.
Canon Sanjee Perera - Cognitive Psychologist and Ecclesiologist, Associate at Virginia Theological Seminary, and formerly Archbishops' Advisor on Minority Ethnic Affairs, Church of England.
Joining this joint AMEN and USPG conference will also be Bishop of Kirkstall, Arun Arora and Bishop of Huddersfield, Smitha Prasadam.
Where:
St Matts Leeds
