Our first Catholic catalogue!
We're delighted to announce that our first Catholic catalogue has arrived! At SPCK we go beyond denominational labels and divisions, and aim to support all Christians in their exploration of their own faith. For this reason, we have gathered for the first time in one catalogue a substantial number of our titles by, for or about Catholics.
We're also delighted that both Cardinal Vincent Nichols and church historian Eamon Duffy have contributed articles to make this more than just a catalogue. Check out the online version of the catalogue in this blog post, plus find out how to get 33% off everything featured in the catalogue!
Highlights from the Catholic catalogue:
1. Sister Wendy's 100 Best-loved Paintings
Shortly before she died in December 2018, and nearly thirty years on from her first book, Sister Wendy was working with SPCK on an anthology of her all-time favourite paintings. The result is this enthralling collection, which will delight her many fans all over the world while also inspiring a new generation of art lovers as they develop their understanding of the depths and subtleties of some of the world's greatest works of art.
2. John Henry Newman: A Very Brief History
Published to coincide with Newman’s Canonization by Pope Francis in October 2019, this concise introduction to the life and legacy of one of the most influential Christian thinkers of modern times is written by one of the world’s most influential and widely respected historians.
3. The Glory of the Cross
Cardinal Vincent Nichols invites you to join him on a journey through the world-changing events of Holy Week and Easter, as he reflects on their eternal significance for all believers.
