Aimed at seven to nine year-olds this beautifully illustrated book retells 101 key Bible stories. Unlike some other children’s bibles, it doesn’t simply focus only on the best-known and familiar stories but seeks to lead children equally through some of the important moments of the Old and New Testaments in accessible but engaging and lively language. Some of the perhaps lesser known stories covered include Ezra, Nebuchadnezzar and Nehemiah.
Published in mid-August, this attractive but sturdy 140-page volume would be appreciated by youngsters keen to learn more about the Bible or be a welcome addition or helpful resource for young church groups and Sunday schools.
